“Novel Methods in Photochemistry and Photocatalysis”

Prof. Daniele Leonori is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Perugia and obtained his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Iain Coldham at the University of Sheffield, UK. His research focuses on the development of new catalytic methods for organic synthesis. He has published around 100 articles and has an H-index of 40.
He has received numerous research grants, including ERC Starting, Proof-of-Concept, and Consolidator Grants. He has also won several prestigious awards, such as the ChemSocRev Pioneering Lectureship (RSC) and the Organic Synthesis Lectureship, both in 2022. In 2021, he received the EuChemS Young Investigator Award (EuChemS), and in 2019 he was honored with the AstraZeneca Early Career Award for Outstanding Contributions to Organic Synthesis.
