“Gold Catalysis: New Reactivity Patterns and Applications”
Prof. A. Stephen K. Hashmi is an internationally renowned German organic chemist, known for his pioneering contributions in the field of homogeneous catalysis using gold. He is the director of the Catalysis Research Laboratory (CaRLa), a collaboration between BASF and the University of Heidelberg.
Prof. Hashmi has published over 720 scientific articles, with more than 46,000 citations, and has edited several books, including “Modern Gold Catalyzed Synthesis” (Wiley-VCH, 2012). He is a member of the editorial boards of journals such as Gold Bulletin, ChemCatChem, Chemistry – A European Journal, and Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis.
