“Predicting reaction selectivity”
Prof. Per-Ola Norrby, Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca (Sweden), is an internationally recognized expert in innovative fields such as reactivity predictions through machine learning, the study of degradation mechanisms, and the design of cutting-edge synthetic methods.
With a career spanning several decades, he has enriched both the academic world, as a professor of Organic Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Gothenburg, and the pharmaceutical industry. He currently leads the Data Science & Modelling team in Pharmaceutical Sciences at AstraZeneca. He is the author of over 220 publications, which have received more than 10,000 citations, and has an h-index of 60.
