His research\u00a0interests\u00a0in the area oforganometallic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis range from the characterization of reactive intermediates and\u00a0method development to\u00a0applications\u00a0in natural product total synthesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">He is coauthor of over 470 papers, with over 48,000 citations and an h-index of 119. His honors include the Leibniz Prize (German Science Foundation), the\u00a0inaugural Mukaiyama\u00a0Award (Japan),\u00a0a Centenary Lectureship (RSC),\u00a0the Arthur C.
