After completing his PhD at the Henri Poincar\u00e9 University in Nancy, he carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Rochester (NY, USA) with an Elf-Aquitaine fellowship, and at the CNRS in Lyon with support from BP Chemicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">From 1999 to 2001, he worked in Silicon Valley at Symyx Technologies, a start-up pioneering HTS experimentation. Back in Europe, he led small-molecule synthesis projects for 17 years as a Project Leader and Senior R&amp;D Chemist at DSM Pharma and later InnoSyn.
