His research pushes the boundaries of quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, and machine learning to develop efficient methods to enable accurate modeling and new insights into complex materials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">He is the recipient of the <em>Dirac Medal <\/em>(2020) and the <em>Gerhard Ertl Young Investigator Award<\/em> (2011), an <em>APS Fellow<\/em> since 2019, and holder of <em>multiple flagship ERC grants<\/em>, including an Advanced Grant.
