“Polymers that respond to oxidants”
Prof. Nicola Tirelli is a Senior Researcher at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genoa, where he leads the research line “Polymers and Biomaterials” and is Associate Director for Education. He is also a part-time Professor at the University of Manchester. His work focuses on polymer chemistry, biomaterials, nanomedicine and pharmaceutical engineering.
He is the author of over 200 publications, with >9000 citations and has an h-index of 51. In 2019 he was appointed Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) for his contributions to the field of polymeric materials and therapeutic biomaterials.
