Dr. Stefano Polesello is a senior researcher at the Institute for Water Research (IRSA) of the CNR, Brugherio (MB). He is an expert in environmental chemistry, with a focus on emerging pollutants in water, such as PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), pesticides and persistent organic compounds. His activity focuses on the development of advanced analytical methods for the detection of contaminants in surface, ground and drinking water.
He has published 4 books and more than 100 publications in the field of analytical and environmental chemistry, of which about 50 are research or review articles published in international journals. He is also actively involved in scientific dissemination, in particular on topics related to water contamination and emerging pollutants such as PFAS.
