Prof. Jörg Scheuermann

Prof. Jörg Scheuermann is an internationally renowned chemist and researcher, currently Adjunct Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences at ETH Zurich. He is recognized as one of the pioneers of DNA-encoded chemical libraries (DEL) technology, a novel method for drug discovery.

​Prof. Scheuermann has published over 90 scientific articles, with more than 5,000 citations, and holds three patents related to DEL technology. He is also the organizer of the “International Symposium on DNA-Encoded Chemical Libraries”, an annual event that alternates between Zurich, Boston and China. His group is actively involved in the international initiative Target 2035, which aims to identify binding molecules for all approximately 20,000 human proteins by 2035.
